Paralysed Generation

Paralysed Generation

Have you ever been on your phone or computer and you just get stuck there for hours; you want to move, but you don’t seem to do it. I have been there many times. If you have never experienced this, then you are probably above 90 years old. What I mean is that everything around us is designed to keep us distracted from the plans that God sent us here to do. But don’t give up yet, there is hope. Luke 9:23 says:

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me”.
I want to emphasise on the word “DAILY” because every day is an opportunity for the devil to distract us and keep us from our God-given purpose. However, every day is also an opportunity for us to make better choices than yesterday and letting God move in our hearts.

I always say that we are all imperfect because it is true, but we won’t live pity lives because we are made perfect in Jesus Christ. “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it (Luke 9:24). Wherever losing your life looks like, ask yourself this question: what is taking my time that I can’t read the word of God, pray or just being in the presence of God?

Is it your friends? Well, good things can also keep you from God if that’s your main priority in life. Whatever it is, God wants you to surrender all to him daily, and he will take you where he wants you to be.

It doesn’t always feel great to let go of your TV show daily, but TV shows will never give you everlasting life.

The fact that you don’t feel in control of what you do anymore (which you will never be) is proof that we need God’s help daily and the Holy Spirit’s guidance is free.
