God’s faithfulness

God’s faithfulness

Because we are imperfect and unfaithful, we think that God will fail us as well. That’s why people say things like “it’s too late for me”, “I don’t need any God” “I believe in myself” or “I just don’t believe”. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:3-4 that “What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written:

“So that you may be proved right when you speak

and prevail when you judge”.

Okay, let’s take a moment and think about this; how would you know about the grace of God if you are rejecting a gift that you haven’t even opened? The grace of God is a gift that we didn’t earn or deserve, yet a lot of people say no to it. The danger is that people are rejecting Jesus because of what they are experiencing with other unfaithful people.

It is not the first time, even when Jesus was here on earth, the world still didn’t believe in him. I found Matthew 8: 34 very interesting: “Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region”. When you read the entire chapter, you will find out that the reason the entire city came out to beg Jesus to leave was because he was healing and delivering people. WHAT? This is very absurd yet similar to today’s’ society. The world would rather spend their entire energy adoring another man but say no to Jesus who wants to give them eternal life.

Nevertheless, God is still faithfulness to us. The fact that everyone I spoke to on the street this week didn’t want to hear about God doesn’t mean that God stops being God. On the other hand, it is sad to see that the Lord has already died on the cross for everyone, yet the world chooses to carry the weight of this life on their own.

Being a Christian doesn’t mean you don’t make mistakes, but it means that through it all you are made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ alone. If I would believe in myself, tomorrow when I make a bad choice (which we all will), then my entire world will crumble. But because I believe in Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever Hebrews 13:8; I do not worry because I know he has a great plan for me and all I need is to trust in him.

Jesus died for you, and it’s a shame to reject eternal life to live a worldly life that you can leave any second from now.

God is waiting for your decision; you don’t have much time because you don’t know how much time you got.
