The World Upside-down

The World Upside-down

This week I was a part of a group of young adults from different churches in Nijmegen that went in the city at night to share the love of Christ. The idea was, as new students are in the city making new friends and parting; we positioned ourselves where we were able to help drunk students, give directions to lost students or just interact with them. It was reviving to plant so many seeds.

I asked God to show me what he wanted me to learn from the experience, and I saw the world upside-down. We already know that the world is going in the wrong direction, against God’s principles. However, the world is upside-down not by choice but by lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4:6 says:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children”.

People have all sort of mindset about religion without having any relationship with the Father. There is a lot of knowledge in the world today. And, the same information is causing many people to suppress the truth of God in their lives. That is sad because Jesus wants to reveal his truth to his people, and he also needs you to play a part.

Romans 10:14 says:
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Romans 10:17 also says:
“So, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ”.

Now we know that Christians must share the Gospel as Matthew 28:19-20 says:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age”.

God wants us to be teachers, and that also puts us in the student position because we cannot teach what we do not know. Christians and non-Christians, we all learn about the truth of God in the Holy Bible. Let’s spend time understanding God’s character.

Remember, God is with you always, and God loves every person you pray for and share the Gospel with. Jesus Christ already died for everyone denying him today, all we have to do is allow Jesus to deliver the truth through us.

This way, the truth of God will rain in an upright world.
