Luke 15:4,7 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. (ESV)
This passage is essential for Christians as it reminds us that one day, we were the “one” person Jesus left the 99 others to save us. It is a privilege to remember that we are special to God that every day he is ready to come to our rescue.
Moreover, just like our Father in heaven sent his only son to die for us, we are also called not to live a selfish life. Especially during these challenging days, we need to stop focusing on ourselves and start focusing on ways to help others have a relationship with the living God. To do that, we need to allow God to use us as vessels to share his words. It’s about the one person you tell about Jesus who will also share with the next person and so on.
Now is not the time to be quiet because your words, text or call can save someone’s soul from the eternal inferno. The world needs to know the truth, and the truth is the only thing that will set us free.” (John 8:32).
Heaven rejoices when you tell one person about Jesus, and the good news is that you don’t have to do it on your own. The Holy Spirit will guide you in sharing the word of God. Just take the first step.
Be that “ONE” person God can use to bring “ONE” of His lost children back in God’s presence.
