I believe Jesus is powerful, but I’m good!

I believe Jesus is powerful, but I’m good!

Many people that I have spoken to on the street tend to reject my prayers because they are in a good place. The lady I talked to this week was lovely and interested to know why I pray for strangers. She clearly mentioned to me that she didn’t need any prayer because she was in a good place but she asked me to pray for protection over her family because that’s something she can’t control.

Do we only need God when things are not going well?

No, because if you are reading this blog today, it is by the grace of God. Sometimes however, we don’t acknowledge the power of God in our lives because we think we made it by ourselves.

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

When we don’t believe in the grace of God, we don’t surrender to his power, and we lie to ourselves every day that we are stronger than we actually are.

Today, whoever you are, it doesn’t matter how your relationship with Christ Jesus looks like at this moment; God wants to direct your way. Whatever you think is a good place for you in this world can fall apart in one second; you are not called to settle for less because Jesus gives life and life in abundance.

It doesn’t matter if you are in a good or bad place, with Jesus you are never alone. ‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

HE IS THE MOST POWERFUL; HE CARES, AND HE WILL DO IT
